Carey Gruenwald, Resident in Counseling

Carey works at our Harpers Ferry location & enjoys working with individuals who are ready to heal from the emotional residue of childhood and adult trauma, including patterns of codependency, love addiction, avoidance, substance use, or compulsive behaviors that often develop as coping strategies.

She offers a space where you can safely release stored emotions, reconnect with your inner world, and move towards wholeness—mentally, emotionally, spiritually, sexually, and physically.

Carey supports clients in identifying and shifting long-held beliefs, helping them move out of fear- and shame-based patterns and into greater emotional freedom. Many of Carey’s clients are familiar with the 12-step path or are looking for a counselor who can weave that wisdom into the therapeutic process. She incorporates elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, guided meditation, and body-based practices to support deeper healing and lasting change.

Carey works under the supervision of Robyn Harrison-Taft, LPC, as she completes her post-graduate licensure hours. If you’re feeling called to heal, to process grief, or to untangle long-held patterns, she is here to walk alongside you.
