We love being therapists. We also know how demanding this work can be.

Over the years, we’ve experienced many of the same things we hear from other clinicians: burnout, full caseloads, challenging cases, blurred boundaries, pressure to keep learning, and the feeling that professional development sometimes becomes just one more thing on the to-do list.

We wanted to create something different.

The Resourced Therapist is about supporting the person behind the therapist. A place where professional growth can happen alongside connection, laughter, reflection, rest, and real conversations about what it takes to build a sustainable career in this field. Our hope is to create experiences that leave therapists feeling not only more knowledgeable, but also more confident, connected, and energized when they return to their work.

The Resourced Therapist Retreats

What if professional development could also feel restorative?

Our retreat experiences bring together continuing education, professional connection, and intentional opportunities to step away from the demands of everyday clinical work.

We envision beautiful destinations, small groups of therapists, meaningful CEU experiences, great conversations, time outside, good food, laughter, and plenty of room to recharge.

Some moments will be focused on learning.

Others may look more like sitting by the pool talking with another therapist who completely understands the work you do.

We want our retreats to offer something therapists rarely get enough of: Time to invest in both your professional growth and yourself.

The Resourced Therapist Podcast

Real conversations about being a therapist.

Hosted by Carissa and Tamara, The Resourced Therapist Podcast explores the clinical, professional, and personal sides of being a mental health professional.

We talk about the things therapists are actually navigating, including:

  • Burnout and therapist well-being
  • Clinical confidence and challenging cases
  • Boundaries with clients, work, and ourselves
  • Private practice and building a sustainable career
  • Continuing education and professional growth
  • Clinical skills and conversations that help us become better therapists
  • The realities of balancing this work with the rest of life

Expect honest conversations, practical takeaways, a little humor, and plenty of reminders that therapists are humans, too.
