Megan Klenk, CMHC, Resident in Counseling
Megan holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. She has extensive experience supporting military and foreign service families as they navigate trauma and the unique stressors of their lifestyle. Megan also enjoys working with athletes to manage performance-related stress and is passionate about helping couples strengthen communication, rebuild connection, and navigate challenges together.
Megan supports clients in identifying and moving through the barriers that may be keeping them from feeling like their best selves. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process, helping individuals and couples gain insight, build skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
In her work, Megan integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Gottman Method for couples. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Provider, bringing specialized training in trauma-informed care.
Megan’s warm, approachable presence helps clients feel at ease from the start. She believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and values creating a supportive, evidence-based space where they feel understood, empowered, and capable of reaching their goals and improving their overall quality of life.
